Rope Training for Combat Sports Grip Endurance !

You cannot submit, throw or pin what you cannot hold onto ! In this video we highlight one of the best tools for and applications for developing combat sport specific grip endurance. Your ability to maintain your grip on your opponent, whether in a gi or a no- gi situation is very important for your combat sports performance and success. One of our favorite training tools for devloping dynamic grip enduarnce for combat sports is a 60ft length of 1.5 or 2 inch manila rope. Hemp rope wroks well also and is the cleaner option. Rope training offers unlimited exercise variations and is usually very inexpensive. Check out the video below for some dynamic grip work with our rope.
